Frequently Asked Questions

What Preparation Is Needed For My Exam?

Since many examinations require a different preparation, instructions will be given to you at the time your exam is scheduled. If the instructions are straightforward, they will be relayed to you by your physician or nurse. If the instructions require a preparation kit or are more complicated, you will be sent to the radiology department to pick up instructions and/or a preparation kit.

How Will I Get My Results?

Results will be sent directly to your physician or health care provider. If you are an in-patient in the hospital, the results will also be sent to the nursing unit to be placed with your chart for physician review. Your physician or nurse will then relay the results to you.

What If I Need To Have My X-rays Or Films For Further Care?

If you are referred elsewhere for follow-up or specialized care, your images can be checked out to you on a loan basis with a signed patient release. Please remember that your films are a part of your permanent medical record at Jefferson County Health Center and need to be returned to us.
