JCHC Now Offering Covid-19 Antibody Testing

Covid – 19 Antibody blood test identifies the presence of antibodies that indicate that a person had an immune response to COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2). A positive result to this antibody (IgG) test indicates that you may have had previous exposure to COVID-19 and your body has developed antibodies.

The test is only used to detect Covid-19 antibodies greater than to 2 weeks prior to testing.

What you need to know:

1.   You must have a Providers order

2.   A small blood sample is needed. No fasting is required

3.   Results may take up to 5 days

4.   Results will be found on MyChart  https://mychart.uihealthcare.org/jchc/
