FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it new challenges for every American to face. For some, those challenges are compounded with the grief and sadness that comes from losing a loved one to the virus. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recently announced a new resource for families to ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by COVID-19. 

Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021, and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses. 

Individuals may request this assistance by calling the FEMA assistance line number at 644-684-6333. The hotline is open from Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
