JCHC Offers COVID-19 Vaccinations for Young Children

Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) is expanding COVID-19 vaccinations to include children age six months to five years (60 months), per new authorizations from the FDA and CDC.

Beginning Tuesday, July 12, vaccinations for these young children will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at JCHC Clinics. Parents should call 641-472-4156 to schedule appointments for their children; families do not need to be existing patients to schedule a vaccination.

JCHC offers the Moderna vaccine for this age group, which is a two-dose series. The second shot will be scheduled during the initial vaccination appointment.

JCHC continues to offer COVID-19 vaccinations for everyone age five years and older. If you are looking for your initial vaccine series, or a booster dose, please contact 641-472-4156 today.
