Super Sitter Course Scheduled for April 30

The JCHC Auxiliary still has spaces available for their annual "Super Sitter" Course, scheduled for Saturday, April 30 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. 

This course is open to all 5th grade children in the Jefferson County area, and is limited to 30 participants. Sign-in is from 7:40 a.m. – 7:55 a.m., and the class begins at 8:00 a.m. There is no cost to attend. 

The course offers information and tips to help make participants a "Super Sitter." Topics covered include fire safety, first aid, and infant/child care and development.  A short multiple choice test is given at the end of the program to reinforce the concepts learned at the event. Children who complete the course will be awarded a certificate and tote bag. Christine Engwall, RN, Health and Wellness Manager at JCHC, will be teaching the course.
