Covid-19 Update
November 13, 2020
We feel it is important to inform the community of the current state of COVID-19 and the rise of cases in our community and eastern Iowa. We have experienced a drastic increase in our community spread. COVID-19 testing at JCHC in the middle of September produced a positivity rate of 1.43%. The past 7 days we are at 31%. All hospitals in southeast Iowa are experiencing similar spread and are at full capacity or very close. At this rate there will not be enough hospital beds available for the patients who need care.
Our call to action is for community members to stay diligent in wearing a mask, wash your hands, social distance, and stay home when possible. We believe these steps will reduce the rate of the spread and help hospitals provide the care patients need.
JCHC has implemented a no visitor restriction, a mask mandate, and making additional operational changes. If you are sick, please call the clinic before coming in at 641-472-4156.
It is critical that everyone does their part to stop the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for doing everything you can to keep patients, communities, and caregivers safe and healthy.
