COVID-19 Vaccines
February 3, 2021
We are pleased to receive 100 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines from Jefferson County Public Health for residents on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
The current criteria established by the state of Iowa requires vaccinating individuals aged 65 years or over. In addition, JCHC will identify individuals at high risk by utilizing our COVID-19 Risk Score.
Included in this group will be dialysis patients. The remaining vaccines will be administered to individuals identified in our COVID-19 Risk Score. JCHC will contact these individuals to schedule them for vaccines. All vaccines will be administered within the next 7 days.
Bryan Hunger, CEO, JCHC: We are excited to offer the vaccine to individuals in our community. The goal is for everyone to be able to get a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible. Although we understand the vaccine allocation is limited, we look forward to offering more vaccines as they become available. JCHC will continue partnering with Jefferson County Public Health to expand the groups recommended for vaccination.
We are continuing our efforts to update you on COVID-related information. We will continue to communicate through KMCD/Classic 96, JCHC Facebook,
