JCHC Clinics To Administer Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

Effective Wednesday, June 23, Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) will be administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for all new COVID-19 vaccinations. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for use by the FDA for anyone age 12 or older, and this switch will allow more children and teenagers to be vaccinated against the virus. Children under the age of 18 will need a parent or legal guardian’s permission to receive a vaccination.

JCHC previously administered the Moderna vaccine, and will still have the Moderna vaccine available for individuals who have their second shot/booster shot appointment already scheduled.

As previously announced, JCHC is offering three convenient ways for an individual to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
