Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) is pleased to host the Annual Heart Health & Home Event, focusing this year on Knowing Diabetes by Heart. This free educational event will take place on Thursday, March 20, from 5–7 p.m. in Conference Room C at JCHC.

Learn How to Protect Your Heart While Managing Diabetes

This year’s event will highlight eight key ways to care for your heart while managing Type 2 diabetes. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how small, sustainable lifestyle changes can significantly impact their overall health.

Live Cooking Demonstration

Registered Dietitian Colette Banda will lead a live cooking demonstration, preparing sweet potato chicken hash—a delicious, heart-healthy recipe. She will also provide practical tips for making nutritious meals at home and modifying favorite recipes to better support heart health.

Complimentary Samples and Health Screenings

Participants will have the opportunity to taste complimentary samples.
