When you are receiving medical care, clear and accurate communication is vital to help you make informed decisions. At Jefferson County Health Center, we provide language services to ensure all our patients can take part in important health care communication.
Jefferson County Health Center’s Language Services help non-English speaking or limited-English speaking patients, along with patients who are deaf or who have hearing problems, receive free language assistance. As part of this service, you have access to a qualified interpreter.
Examples When Interpreters Are Helpful:
- Billing and insurance issues
- Explanation of diagnosis or prognosis
- Procedures, tests, treatments, options and medications
- Follow-up treatment and discharge instructions
- Patient education
Language Assistance Services Are Available Free of Charge at All JCHC Locations
To access language services, please notify staff when making your appointment or at check-in. Language assistance sheets are available at check-in to help you communicate your needs.
