Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) has welcomed Mallory Hoover, ARNP as a new family medicine provider to JCHC Clinics in Fairfield. Mallory is board certified and offers primary health care services for men, women, and children. She began seeing patients on January 16th.

“When I was working in critical care, I decided I wanted to do more to help people and be more involved in primary care. Becoming an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner was a natural progression for me,” said Mallory Hoover.

Mallory chose JCHC because of the opportunity to be close to home. “I grew up in Centerville,” she said, “I was drawn to Fairfield because of its cultural diversity and the community here is so welcoming. I currently live in Fairfield, and I previously worked at JCHC, so I already had a good feel of the organization and town. It feels like a family here.”

Bryan Hunger, JCHC CEO, said that he knew Mallory would be a great fit within the clinic and for Jefferson County.  “Mallory was a great nurse for JCHC and exemplified our values.  We are excited to have her back as a provider in the JCHC Clinic.”

Mallory’s previous healthcare experience includes serving as ARNP in Mt. Pleasant, and as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ottumwa and Des Moines.  While working as a nurse at JCHC, Mallory earned the ARNP license in 2020. She has been a RN since 2015 and holds several certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and is on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME). Mallory is also a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Mallory Hoover, ARNP will work alongside JCHC’s other family medicine and pediatric providers. She will be available for appointments beginning January 16th and will be available Monday through Friday. To schedule an appointment with Mallory, please call JCHC Clinics at 641-472-4156.
