JCHC Welcomes Dr. Florita Henderson to JCHC Clinic | Ottumwa

Fairfield, Iowa – Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) is pleased to welcome Florita Henderson, MD, FACP, a board-certified internal medicine physician, to JCHC Clinic | Ottumwa.  

Dr. Henderson brings more than 20 years of combined clinical and research experience to JCHC. She specializes in internal medicine and is dedicated to helping patients live healthier lives through compassionate, personalized care. Her areas of interest include preventive care, chronic disease management, and geriatric medicine, with an emphasis on building lasting relationships that support long-term health and wellness. 

After earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Louis University in the Philippines, Dr. Henderson completed a research fellowship at the University of Iowa and internal medicine residency training in both the United Kingdom and at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). In 2021, she was recognized with the Laureate Award from the American College of Physicians – Iowa Chapter for her dedication to excellence in medicine and service to her patients and profession.
