Jefferson County Health Center Appoints Dr. Brian Marovets as Chief Medical Officer, Enhancing Patient Care and Operational Efficiency

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Brian Marovets as our new Chief Medical Officer (CMO), a key strategic advancement in our mission to provide top-tier healthcare services to the community.

Dr. Marovets joined JCHC in 2022, with previous experience at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, Iowa, and Williamsburg Family Medicine Clinic in Williamsburg, Iowa. Dr. Marovets holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University, a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Iowa. Before transitioning to medicine, Dr. Marovets served as an engineer for John Deere and as a lieutenant in the United States Navy, demonstrating a breadth of leadership and technical expertise that he brings to JCHC.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Dr. Marovets will continue his clinical practice, seeing patients on Monday and Tuesday mornings and all day on Thursday and Friday. His dual role as both a practicing physician and CMO underscores his commitment to patient care and his deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare system.

As CMO, Dr. Marovets will be a dedicated advocate for JCHC’s 28 employed and contracted providers, ensuring their voices are heard at the executive level and guiding a unified approach to care delivery. By strengthening provider-to-provider relationships and promoting alignment with our mission, vision, values, and goals, Dr. Marovets is expected to play a critical role in driving our organization’s continued success.
