March 18, 2025
Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) is pleased to welcome Alex Roth, DDS, to the Board of Trustees. Dr. Roth joins the board in March of 2025, filling the seat left vacant by Bob Keller’s retirement after an incredible 32 years of dedicated service. We extend our deepest gratitude to Bob for his unwavering commitment and the lasting impact he has made on JCHC. His leadership and service have helped shape the health center into what it is today, and we wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.
Dr. Roth brings a wealth of experience in healthcare and community service. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, class of 2011, he began his career in the United States Army Dental Corps through the Army’s Health Professions Scholarship Program. After earning his degree, he completed advanced clinical training in the Army’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and went on to serve four years as a Dental Officer at Ft. Richardson Army Post in Anchorage, Alaska. Following his five years of military service, Dr. Roth returned to his hometown of Fairfield, where he is now the co-owner of Roth & Norton Family Dentistry, providing comprehensive general dentistry to patients of all ages.
Dr. Roth’s dedication to healthcare extends beyond his practice. As a board member, he brings valuable insight from both military and civilian healthcare settings, along with a strong commitment to advancing community health. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, and the Southeast Iowa District Dental Association. Additionally, he is actively involved in the local Kiwanis Club, supporting initiatives that benefit children and families in the Fairfield community.
JCHC is excited to have Dr. Roth join the Board of Trustees and contribute his expertise, leadership, and passion for patient-centered care. His dedication to improving healthcare services and his deep-rooted connection to the Fairfield community make him a wonderful addition to our team. We look forward to the positive impact he will have in helping JCHC continue to grow and serve our patients with excellence.
