New Patient Visitor Restrictions
March 18, 2020
The health risks from cold and flu remain high, limiting visitors to our hospitalized patients – as well as those who accompany outpatients to clinics and procedure visits – will keep patients safe while in our care. Although the risk of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is currently in Iowa, these restrictions will also serve as a preventive measure for that virus.
Visitor restriction guidelines
- Up to one visitor may accompany a patient when receiving care.
- Patients admitted to the hospital are allowed one visitor per day. Within JCHC’s visiting hours, there is no time limit for how long they can stay.
- Patients who have a fever and/or a cough will wear a mask.
- Visitors who have a fever and/or a cough will not be allowed into the facility.
Registered walkers
JCHC has suspended our registered “walker” program until further notice.
Phase 3 Cardiac Rehab

COVID-19 Screening:
