New Provider, Richard Curtis, MD, Joins JCHC Clinics

Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Richard Curtis to their team of healthcare providers. Dr. Curtis will join the team of primary care providers in the JCHC Clinics, specializing in the diverse healthcare needs of patients. He will begin to see patients on July 17th.

Prior to joining JCHC Clinics, Dr. Curtis served as a Primary Care Provider and Hospital Medical Director at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, Iowa. His experience in leadership demonstrates his commitment to delivering quality healthcare and fostering positive patient outcomes. Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Curtis possesses a unique ability to deliver culturally sensitive care and effective communication with Spanish-speaking patients.

Dr. Curtis is a familiar face to Fairfield. He serves as the EMS Medical Director for the Jefferson County Ambulance Service Association. Living in Fairfield for the past 3 years, his two youngest sons are enrolled in the Fairfield Community School District.

Dr. Curtis brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the JCHC Clinics. He completed his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed a Family Practice Residency through Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. His residency training equipped him with a broad range of skills, enabling him to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
