JCHC Therapy Services Receives Grant from Ottumwa Legacy Foundation
December 10, 2025
We are pleased to announce that JCHC Therapy Services has been awarded a $19,625 grant from the Ottumwa Legacy Foundation.
The grant will allow JCHC Therapy Services to enhance treatment for individuals with lymphedema and other rehab needs.
This grant will directly enhance care for individuals with lymphedema. The funding has supported the purchase of a NuStep exercise machine and a hi/low treatment table, both of which play important roles in improving mobility, safety and functional recovery. For patients with lymphedema, the NuStep’s low-impact, rhythmic motion helps stimulate the lymphatic system, while the hi/low table allows optimal positioning for Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) and other hands-on interventions.
Additional support for the Lymphedema Garment Program will help reduce financial barriers for patients who rely on compression garments to manage lymphedema and improve daily function. With insurance coverage often limited, this funding ensures more individuals can access the medically necessary items recommended by their care team.
We are grateful to the Ottumwa Legacy Foundation for its ongoing investment in improving healthcare services throughout Southeast Iowa. This investment strengthens our ability to meet the growing needs of patients living with lymphedema and other conditions in our region.
