Welcoming New CIO Tim Belec to Jefferson County Health Center

Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) is delighted to welcome Tim Belec as our new Chief Information Officer (CIO). With a rich background in Information Technology and a strong leadership track record, Tim will play a crucial role in elevating the technological capabilities of the health center, furthering the organization’s commitment to exceptional patient care.
Tim is an accomplished Information Technology Executive with over 30 years of experience in the field. His expertise spans a diverse range of areas including migrating mission-critical technology applications, software design, cyber-security structures, and creating disaster recovery plans. He has an in-depth understanding of EPIC technology, the health center’s electronic medical record software.
Before joining JCHC, Tim served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Owensboro Health, a highly respected non-profit hospital system in Owensboro, KY. His invaluable experience and leadership have prepared him well to take on the responsibilities of CIO at JCHC.
As the CIO of JCHC, he will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of the health center’s entire network, information systems, and electronic health records. Additionally, he will provide strategic direction and guidance to the Information Technology Department. Tim will report directly to Chief Executive Officer, Bryan Hunger, forging a strong partnership to drive technological advancements that enhance patient care, streamline operations, and ensure data security.
