Take charge of your health with Living Beyond Diabetes, a series of educational diabetes classes designed to help you better understand diabetes and build practical skills for everyday management.
This series is offered à la carte, meaning you can attend any class that interests you. There is no requirement to attend every session, and classes do not need to be taken in a specific order.
Session Topics:
August 5 – Diabetes Basics: Making Sense of Your Numbers
Learn what diabetes means for your body, understand blood sugar goals, and discover ways to help prevent diabetes-related complications.
August 19 – Carbs Without Confusion
Learn how carbohydrates affect blood sugar and discover meal planning strategies that fit your lifestyle.
September 2 – Lifestyle Tools for Better Blood Sugar
Explore how nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and other healthy habits can help improve blood sugar control.
September 16 – Your Diabetes Medications
Learn about diabetes medication options and get your questions answered by a pharmacist.
Registration:
All classes are held on Wednesday afternoons in the JCHC Diabetes Education Office.
Registration is required as classes are billed to insurance.
