Kim Brown brings extensive experience in family medicine and geriatric psychiatry, with a strong focus on disease prevention, chronic disease management, and holistic, patient-centered care. She cares for patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics, with particular expertise in supporting older adults, individuals with psychiatric conditions, and patients with complex chronic medical needs. Passionate about improving access to healthcare in rural communities, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care that addresses both physical and mental health needs. In addition to her clinical work, she has been actively involved in nursing education, health policy advocacy, and community health initiatives throughout her career. Her leadership and commitment to service are reflected through her involvement with organizations including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Iowa Nurse Practitioner Association, and the Wapello County Board of Health. Outside of healthcare, she enjoys rural life on her 300-acre farm, where she cares for horses, dogs, and other animals while remaining deeply connected to her community through volunteerism, outreach, and wellness education.
