Dr. Trent is an accomplished and kindhearted medical provider with a diverse background in primary care, emergency medicine, and inpatient care. He is the Medical Director of JCHC"s Inpatient Services including the Hospitalist Program. His approach to quality care starts with each individual patient’s story. He is an active listener and focuses on understanding the root of a patient’s health concern to develop a tailored care plan to address their unique challenges. Dr. Trent’s dedication to his patients is evident in his commitment to solving their problems as if they were his own.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Trent is an active member of the community. Upon his start at JCHC in 2023, he was appointed by the City of Fairfield as the City Health Physician demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of the Fairfield Community beyond the walls of the hospital. Dr. Trent also served as Bishop for the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Fairfield.
Outside of work, Dr. Trent enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and eight children. Married since 1995, his commitment to family underscores his compassionate and caring nature, which extends to his interactions with patients.
He also has an interest in technology and enjoys working on network-attached storage (NAS) for moving and video streaming. In his downtime, he also indulges in smoking meat, refining his skills creating wonderful BBQ dishes for family and friends.
